India has officially urged Pakistan to extradite Hafiz Saeed, who is suspected of playing a role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, for trial in India. The announcement was made by Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson for the Indian foreign ministry, during a briefing with reporters on Friday.
“We have conveyed a request along with relevant supporting documents to the government of Pakistan,” Bagchi told reporters.
